Logan Airport in Boston, one of the top airports in the U.S., is expected to undergo some major renovations, which have already begun on Terminal C and the roadways leading to that terminal. The overall renovations are so extensive, it will take the latter part of the next three years to complete.
One of the first renovations to be tackled is a connection between Terminal C, which handles over 13 million passengers, and Terminal B. Four gates will be added to accommodate more planes, food vendors and amenities will be added, and better seating and passenger accommodations will be added both for pre-security and post-security security passenger. The completed time frame for all these renovations is expected to take a year.
Terminal C will also get a new canopy, with solar-powered atop the canopy.
In addition, renovations will provide better road access between the B and C terminals. The goal is to have fewer traffic backups and to manage anticipated traffic as airport use continues to grow.
Another project, to be completed in two phases as part of the Logan Airport Renovations will be the addition of 5,000 new parking spaces, which are desperately needed. Currently, the airport has 18,000 parking spaces in both the Terminal E and the Economy parking structures.
The first phase will see 2,000 parking spaces added to Terminal E, followed by a second phase in which 3,000 parking spaces will be added to the Econo Parking Lot.
Logan airport has been under environmental restrictions from adding parking spaces since 1975, the only airport in the country under the so-called parking freeze. The Massachusetts Port Authority, which runs Logan Airport, was initially opposed by the Conversation Law Foundation a major force in New England’s environmental issues.
However, when the airport agreed to stock new emission-free vehicles in exchange for the rights, the CLF dropped its objection. Phase one is expected to be completed by 2022, while no details are currently available for phase 2.
Other renovations including adding greater availability for Logan Express, allowing people to park their car in the bus lots and take the bus to the airport, as well as creating separate areas for Uber and Lyft pickups.
The bottom line is that Logan Airport will gradually expand, which make take it well into the 2020s but expect major delays in getting to the terminals and finding parking for a long time to come until all the renovations are complete.
Many airport visitors are now increasingly taking private for hire sedans and limos, as they continue to get priority service for access roads to the terminals, and the congestion factor is greatly alleviated. Knight’s Airport Limousine offers car services between Worcester and Boston Logan Airport, and more.

Not only is it a beautiful place, but Massachusetts is filled with local communities, and a long history of holding events that celebrate them. As the summer draws to a close, there are two fairs and festivals in particular that you should not miss: Brimfield Antiques Show and Marshfield Fair.
Brimfield Antiques Show takes place twice a summer — mid-July and the upcoming event in early September. Soon celebrating its 60th anniversary, Brimfield is possibly the most famous antiques show and flea market in New England. While actually composed of more than 20 independent shows, Brimfield brings together over 5,000 dealers and vendors to the mile-long stretch along Route 20 with their jewelry, furniture, clothing, and more. This is the perfect place to treasure hunt while the weather is still warm!
The second event you must visit if you’re in town for it is he Marshfield Fair. Taking place from August 17th to the 26th, this fair has been in operation since 1867 — the same year Nebraska became a state, the USA purchased Alaska, and Harvard created the country’s first dental school. A lot has changed since, but Marshfield Fair remains as one of the state’s most beloved events. From agricultural demonstrations to crafts, rides, games, contests, and more, Marshfield has something for everyone.
Enjoy the last days of summer in New England, and don’t forget to connect with Knight’s for any transportation you may need in the area. Our professional and experienced drivers will get you and your group to wherever you need to go, stylishly and comfortably.

As the weather gets hotter and hotter, you’ll want to find places where you can enjoy the outdoors while staying cool. What better place to escape the heat wave than by the sea? Massachusetts has some incredible beaches for families, groups of friends, and beach bums of all ages. Grab your towel, sunscreen, and swimsuit for a cool dip in the Atlantic!
If you’re in the Boston area, Carson Beach in South Boston has been voted one of the “Best Urban Beaches” by MSN. It’s the largest beach in Southie and attracts a diverse crowd from families to beach bros. There are also plenty of amenities, including public restrooms, first aid and lifeguard stations, and snack bars. For something a bit smaller, Constitution Beach is a crescent-shaped stretch of sand in East Boston. This hidden gem is great for a swim or a rest from playing on the nearby athletic fields. Finally, to really get away from the big city, Lovells Island in Boston Harbor Islands is a nearby camping island, with an unsupervised swimming beach and a fascinating history.
If you find yourself on the North Shore, the best places by far to lay in the sun or take a dip are 40 Steps in Nahant, Crane Beach in Ipswich, Long Beach in Gloucester, and Plum Island Beach in Newburyport. Plum Island Beach is especially cozy, with the beautiful town of Newburyport nearby. It’s full of restaurants, shops, and markets.
On the South Shore, Duxbury Beach, Humarock Beach in Scituate, Natasket Beach in Hull, and Plymouth Beach are the places to go to beat the heat. Plymouth Beach is particularly known for being family-friendly, with a wealth of rock pools and other places to explore.
Pack your sunscreen, your hat, and your swimsuit — whether you’re in town for business or pleasure, taking a break to hit the beach is always a good idea. You can rely on Knight’s to get you to and from the sandy shore quickly and safely.

Boston is known for being one of the country’s founding cities. The most important figures in America’s inauguration have walked Boston’s streets — so what better place to celebrate the nation’s birthday?
First things first, if you’re in the city you cannot miss the Independence Day Parade. Taking place in front of the Old State House on Washington Street, the parade begins at 9:30 am and goes until 11 am. If you want a good view, be sure to get there early! And pay special attention for the Captain Commanding of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts who will read the Declaration of Independence from the Old State House’s balcony, as has been tradition since 1776.
This day is an especially good opportunity to visit the graves of Paul Revere, Peter Faneuil, and the Boston Massacre victims, who are all buried in the Granary Burying Ground on Tremont Street.
For a show along with a view of the Charles, join the throngs of people on the Esplanade for the Boston Pops annual performance in the DCR Hatch Shell, which ends with the Fireworks Spectacular. Gates open at 9 am, and the concert goes from 8 pm to 11 pm, with the fireworks kicking off at 10:30.
As always, on special holidays like this, you’ll want to focus on enjoying the day with your loved ones. Take the worry out of traffic and safety, and leave all your transportation needs to us. We have the fleet able to take care of parties of any size. Be sure to reserve a vehicle soon!

Yes, you heard it right. If you plan on flying out of Boston Logan Airport (BOS), a flight ticket isn’t the only thing you’ll likely be shelling out big bucks for. Despite offering crowded and sometimes far away, parking there will cost you $70 for short-term or terminal side parking, and $26 for long-term and economy parking. As Reader’s Digest reported, that makes BOS the second most expensive airport to park at in the country. Yikes.
The most expensive airport parking is New York LaGuardia. With SeaTac in Seattle at #3 followed by San Francisco International then JFK.
It’s more than just expensive parking costs though. Ever heard of Boston drivers? On top of already pricey parking, a trip to Logan will also expose you to some of the worst drivers in the country, too. All this stress even before you’ve made it into the airport!
Save yourself precious time, money, and stress, and reserve a shuttle that will deliver you comfortably and quickly to and from your flight on time. Our experienced chauffeurs will pick you up at your front door, and will get you to your flight on time. Reserve your ride now!

Boston has many fantastic neighborhoods to visit, whether you’re in town for business or pleasure. One of its most famous is right across the river, Charlestown.
Charlestown is probably most known for its universities. Harvard and MIT have amazing campuses, full of old red brick buildings. Harvard’s oldest is Massachusetts Hall. Built in 1718, it’s the second oldest academic building in the U.S. and the first institution of higher learning in the American British colonies. It has housed famous revolutionaries, such as John Adams, Samuel Adams and John Hancock. There are many other beautiful buildings to see around Old Harvard Yard, so be sure to stop by for a visit.
Besides for its world famous universities, Charlestown itself is a bustling town. Did you know it was actually founded two years before Boston was? While you’re there, check out one of the many historical walking tours. History buffs will love to see the Bunker Hill Monument, Charlestown Navy Yard, U.S.S. Constitution, and the Bunker Hill Burying Ground.
Need a place to eat? You’re in luck! Boston has many restaurants to boast of, and Charlestown is no different. Affordable and delicious Tangierino Restaurant & Lounge is worth arranging your trip around. Make your visit there on Tuesday through Saturday between 7pm and 10pm and you’ll see the exotic belly dancer performance. Fancy your food with a side of history? The Warren Tavern is the oldest tavern in Massachusetts, and has had many famous guests including George Washington. Besides for its historical accolades, the tavern also boasts of great drinks.
Looking for after dinner drinks? Atlantic Coast Brewing Co. Ltd. is both a bar and brewing company, infamous for their Tremont Porter draft beer. They also have daily tours throughout the brewery. Sullivan’s Pub is also always a fun option with good food. Stop there on Wednesday for trivia night or Thursday for karaoke.
Enjoy your time in Charlestown! As always, book with Knight’s Airport Limousine to make your transportation in and around Boston and to the airport seamless and stress-free.

When your big day arrives, don’t settle for anything less than the best in Worcester. Whether you’re looking for special transportation for your the happy couple, wedding party or other guests, our fleet has the right vehicle for you. From limousines, luxury sedans, SUVs, vans, to coaches, we’ll get you to the celebration on time! Knight’s has some tips for transportation for your big day.
First, it is very important to book your wedding transportation far in advance. Especially if your wedding is in prom and graduation season, typically the spring months from April until June, limousines get reserved quickly. Nine months beforehand should leave you with options, but earliest is best.
Think about what your exact needs will be. It can be overwhelming trying to decide all of the transportation beforehand, especially when not everyone has RSVP’d yet. If there is a long distance between the wedding and the reception, organizing a coach bus, which can hold up to 60 guests each, might save everyone both time and stress. This is an especially good idea for your wedding party. You won’t want to risk your maid of honor being late. Our chauffeur drivers are professional and experienced, so rest assured that we will take care of everything. That being said, when making your reservation make sure to be very clear with the demands of the day. We will want to know how best to make sure you have every need fulfilled. Don’t leave any aspect of your wedding transportation to chance. We will take care of it all.
Contact us today and we can answer all of your questions regarding transportation on your special day. Ask about our stretch and executive limousines in Worcester as well as our luxury sedans, SUVs and coach buses. Reserve your wedding limo in Boston or Worcester with Knight’s Airport Limousine!
